CLIFFORD ARICK GOREE
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Clifford Arick Goree, 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Cool Spring Primitive Baptist Church in Logansport, LA. Interment will immediately follow at Cool Spring Cemetery. Elder Wayne Painter and Elder Joe Asbell will be officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home.
Cliff was born October 14, 1942 in Alexandria, LA to Maximillian Murphy Goree, Sr. and Idelle Wilson Goree and passed away on June 29, 2016. Cliff died of pneumonia but he lived with Waldenstrom's Macroglobulemia for 12 years. He proudly served his country in the LA National Guard and US Army. He graduated from college with an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Cliff was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pollock, LA. He loved bowling and playing the guitar but more than anything he enjoyed being with his family and friends. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Preceding Cliff in death are his parents, brothers Maximillian M. Goree, Jr., and Richard G. Goree. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Stiles Goree; sister Kathy King; sister's-in-law Donata Lins and Sammie Goree; 9 nieces and nephews along with his extended family and friends.
Honoring Cliff as pallbearers will be Don Alexander, Brad Hartley, Bryce Iverson, Matthew Alexander, Michael Goree, and Max Goree.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials may be made to donor's choice or to IWMF.
