Celebration of life and going home service for Clyde Thomas Stovall, 94, will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015, at the Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Coushatta Chapel at 2:00 PM with Reverend Bill Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 11:00 AM prior to service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Stovall was born March 30, 1921, in Jackson, TN, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2015, in Oberlin, LA. During his lifetime, he served his family. During World War II, he served his country fighting in the Army in Europe under General Patton. He served his Lord and State of Louisiana as a charter member of Camper's On Mission.
Preceding him in death were parents, Willie Pink and Ann Elizabeth Stovall and wife, Lucille Stovall.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Martha Turner and husband, Philip of Elizabeth, LA and Mary Dales and husband, Allen of Avinger, TX; grandchildren, Traci Turner, Robin Husband and husband, Mark, Glenn Turner and wife, Tricia, and Randy Thompson; great-grandchildren, Matthew Husband, Jacob Turner and Johnathon Husband.
Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Turner, Jacob Tuner, Johnathon Husband, Randy Thompson, Ricky Gill, and Matthew Husband.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be donated to Clara Springs or Dry Creek Youth Camps.
