Cody Wynn

A Celebration of Life for Cody Wynn, 51, will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana. Cody was born on December 29, 1969 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Billy G. Wynn, Sr. and Julie Dupont Wynn and passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 in Shreveport Louisiana. Cody was married to the love of his life, Stephanie Hunt Wynn for 29 wonderful years. As a young adult he worked for Billy Wynn Trucking which started his career as a diesel mechanic. He worked for Weatherford Drilling Company in Kuwait as a Maintenance Supervisor from 1997 to 2014. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish, shoot guns and was an excellent marksman. Cody loved to ride the country back roads and mud ride, he was just a true outdoorsman. After moving to Ida in the last few years, he dearly loved sitting on the back porch watching the deer and wildlife with his family and best friend, Cutter Luke. Cody was loving, happy, kind and humble. He always had a smile on his face and was telling tall tales. Everyone loved him. He never met a stranger. To know him was to love him. He was a big man with a big heart. With all the passions in his life, his true passions were his wife, daughters and grandkids. He sacrificed so much over the years for his family traveling to work overseas. He was a role model for so many young men. Cody's name and "tuffness" will precede him. He was bigger than life. Cody was preceded in death by his father, Billy G. Wynn, Sr.; grandparents, William and Novice Wynn and Dan and Elzia Dupont and sisters-in-law, Kimberly Hunt Bickham and Brandi Ginn Woods. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Hunt Wynn; mother, Julie Dupont Wynn; daughters, Presli Wynn McKuhen and Peyton Elizabeth Wynn and fiancé, Matt Buxton; brothers, Billy G. Wynn, Jr. and wife, Tabatha and Wade Wynn and wife, Amy; granddaughter, Natalie McKuhen; his best friend and hunting buddy, Cutter Luke McKuhen; in-laws, Tommy and Sue Tullis and Paul Hunt and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Shane Digilormo, Mohammad Abdullah, James Norris, Corey Gorum, Jordan Taylor, Edward Rice, Melvin Wynn, James "T Boog" McKuhen, Colton Wynn, Billy Kayde Wynn, Kenneth Moon, Kevin Smith, Steven Smith, Brian Hudson, Jason Harville, William Baker, Cody Jetton, Lil Dell Harville, Jamey Adkison, Tippy Bickham, Jr., Johnny Taylor, Tommy Tullis, Robert Dupont, Jr., Stacy Dupont, Dusty Dupont, Travis Dupont, Big Ben Dupont and Paul Broyles. He was the greatest son, husband, daddy, brother, uncle, son-in-law, nephew and friend. He loved all of his nieces and nephews so very much. The bond between Cody and his two brothers is beyond special.
