Col. Warren E. Cockerham USAF Ret.

SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of Ret. USAF Col. Warren Edgar Cockerham, 73, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Rev. John Harp officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p. m. Thursday July 30, 2015, graveside with military honors in DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Col. Cockerham was born on February 11, 1942 in Shreveport, LA and passed away July 26, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He retired as Colonel from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He spent 11 years as Assistant Registrar at LSUS and 10 years as Registrar at LSUHSC. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Arvie Cockerham; wife, Pauline Leadaman Cockerham; and sister, Phyllis Elaine Cockerham. Col. Cockerham is survived by his son, Byron K. Cockerham and wife, Jamie; daughter, Heidi Cockerham Snelgrove; grandchildren, Bailey, Meghan, Taylor, Jordan and Braden; and brother, Richard C. Cockerham and wife, Judy. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the LA Baptist Children's Home.
