SHREVEPORT, LA - A Memorial Service for Colleen Clare Dees, 82, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until service time Friday in the chapel. Brother Bob Moore will officiate.
Colleen was born September 14, 1935, in Dwellingup, Western Australia to Eileen Mary Wagland Power and James Power and passed peacefully in her home on January 9, 2018.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Tony Power. Left to honor her memory are her daughter, Karen Dees Bernard and husband Josh of Brooklyn, New York; grandchildren, Kate and Asher; her brothers, Jim and wife Lin, Rory and wife Willow, Gavan; sister-in-law, Edna; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A world traveler, consummate hostess, and at-home gourmet, Colleen will be remembered for her spirited personality, sharp wit, and welcoming smile. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
