Connie Carpenter Comer

SHREVEPORT, LA - Connie Carpenter Comer, born October 4, 1946 entered into eternal rest on July 24, 2016 after a sudden illness. Connie was born to Clara Rebecca Drayer and Carl Carpenter in Shreveport, LA, where she resided for most of her life. She moved to Winston-Salem, NC for a short time where she met and married the love of her life, Donald Comer. She returned home a few short years later to have her children, Raymond Carpenter and Crystal Carpenter. During the life of Connie Comer she was a very devout Christian that believed and worshipped her lord and Savior. Connie was saved and knew her destiny was to go home to be with our father in heaven. Connie was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Clara Carpenter. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Raymond Carpenter and wife, Gwendolyn; daughter Crystal Carpenter; grandchildren Brittany Danielle Webster and Raeann Christina Carpenter; brother Bill Kidwell and wife, Dean; sisters Marcie Presley and husband Glen, Marie S. Jackson, Rhonda Velasquez and husband Paul, and Lisa Chatlain; nieces Nicole, Noel, Shannon, and Brandy; nephews Jeffery, Michael and Billy; as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
