MANSFIELD, LA--Funeral services honoring the life of Connie S. Laffitte "Winkler", 68, will be at 11 AM on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mansfield, LA with Father James Moran officiating. Burial will follow at Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Mansfield, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM. Connie was born on August 25, 1949 to Joseph and Gladys Howard Laffitte in Mansfield, LA and entered into rest on September 11, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her niece, Lana Lafitte Hutto. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Leslie Dixon and fiancé Jeff Hines of Creston, LA, Rhonda Winkler and fiancé Bruce McClellan of Stanley, LA; sister, Nadine Gross and husband James of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Joseph Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Abbie Winkler of Stanley, LA, Hailey Dixon of Shreveport, LA, Heather Dixon of Tampa, FL, and Kelsey McCellan of Stanley, LA; great grandchildren, Faithlynn, Brentlyn, Landon, and Brayden; special friend, Dolly Welborn; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Honoring the life of Connie as pallbearers will be Darryl Dixon, Joseph Johnson, Jeff Hines, Kyle Jones, Bruce McClellan, Robert Laffitte, Mark Gross and Jerry Hines. A special thank you to her caregiver, Rackshon Austin and the nurses and staff at Superior Hospice of Mansfield, LA.
