Conrad Duke Neel

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Conrad Duke Neel will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Christ United Methodist Church, 1204 Crabapple Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Willis Dear will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Conrad was born December 4, 1923 in Sabine Parish to Lee and Irma Neel and passed away on May 23, 2016. Conrad proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He worked for the US Postal Service until his retirement. He enjoyed travelling all over the world and always had a great time on his trips. Conrad was a longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church and a member of the Builders Sunday School class. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Edith Evelyn Sherman, his second wife Tina Salter Brock, his brother Wayne Neel and step-daughter Pamela Matt. Conrad is survived by his step-daughter Dona McKee, step-granddaughters Christi O'Leary and Amy McKee, and special nephew Dennis Stone, along with numerous step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to give our sincerest thanks to the wonderful women who were such great caregivers, Melinda Perot, Amber Fitzgerald, Michelle Pelton, and Margaret Morgan; we are deeply grateful for all the care, support, and love you gave to Conrad during his illness, also thank you to all of Conrad's neighbors and friends who prepared meals, made phone calls, visited and prayed daily.
