Cora Ann Jones

Funeral services for Cora Ann Jones, 84, will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Full Gospel Temple (The Plant of Renown), 5606 Buncombe Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Officiating the service will be Rev. John Brock. Burial will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road in Shreveport. Cora Ann was born March 28, 1937 in Reseda, California to Oscar Bolin and Pansy Glosson Bolin and passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 in Haughton, Louisiana. Cora was a lifelong member of Full Gospel Temple. She was a very talented artist and loved painting and ceramics. She was a devoted wife and babysitter. She loved children and they loved her. Cora had many special friends that she loved dearly. Among them were Frances, Cassandra, Victoria, Marissa, Gabriel, Jonas and Kameryn. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Thomas Bolin; and niece, Donna L. Bolin Wells. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 64 years, Joseph Henry Jones, two sisters-in-law, Martha Knight and Jeanette Liles; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Cora. It is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to The Plant of Renown.
