BENSON, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Coy Wesley English, 59, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Rose-Neath's Chapel in Mansfield, LA with Rev. Delman Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Converse, LA. Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Wesley was born October 25, 1958, in Mansfield, LA to Vernon and Ella Leona English and entered into rest on September 15, 2018. He was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He worked for the Mansfield Fire Department for 19 years and volunteered at many other fire stations.
Preceding Wesley in death were his parents; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ella Estes; paternal grandparents, Elton and Sudie English; and maternal great grandparents, William and Buna Hatcher.
Those left behind to cherish his memory is his sister, Shelia English Simpson and husband Paul of Benson, LA; niece, Brandie Renee Sims of Benson, LA; nephew, Ronald Wayne Sims, Jr. of Logansport, LA; and a host of fellow firefighters and close friends.
Honoring Wesley as pallbearers will be Mike Curry, Lee Shaver, Wayne Nichols, Paul Reed, Jonathan Wadkins and Coty Rachal. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Mansfield Fire Department.
The family extends a special Thank You to Superior Hospice, Mansfield Nursing Center, Billy Locke, Karen Lee, Wayne and Susan Nichols.
