Curtis L. McCrary, Jr.

Funeral services for Curtis Lavell McCrary, Jr., 89, of Arcadia, Louisiana will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Arcadia. Interment will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Brother Jeff Hoffman. Curtis Lavell McCrary, Jr. was born January 4, 1932, to Curtis "Slick" and Ida Louise McCrary in Many, Louisiana. He passed away August 9, 2021, in Arcadia, Louisiana. Curtis was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia. He served as a deacon and was the oldest church member. He owned Nob Hill Motel and Restaurant for many years, was an avid golfer and LSU fan. Curtis is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert McCrary; and daughter, Gloria Dawn McCrary. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jackie McCrary; son, Ted McCrary; brother, Philip McCrary; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Rob McCrary, Timmy Elliott, Jason Anderson, Eddie Permenter, Gene Reeves, and Robbie Lewis
