HAUGHTON, LA - Cynthia Ann Brotherton, 55, of Haughton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 14, 2014, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, August 16, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City. A graveside service for family and friends will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17, at Centuries Memorial on Mansfield Road. Gevan Spinney, pastor of First Baptist Church of Haughton, will officiate.
Cindy was employed most recently at Margaritaville Hotel and previously at Sam's Town Hotel. She was also founder/owner of Stonewall Day Care in Stonewall. She was a member of the Fair Park Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Cindy was born September 11, 1958, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Robert John Brotherton and Elizabeth Ann Tooke Roach, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her stepfather, Alvin Roach. She is survived by her siblings, Bob Brotherton and wife Billie Jo of Haughton, Louisiana; Gaye Ledford and husband Bob of Wylie, Texas; and Mark Brotherton of Indianapolis, Indiana. She had a special love for her nephews and nieces, Jason Brotherton and wife Kenda; Coy Brotherton and wife Stacey; Jeni Gannon Rhodes and husband Kyle; and Casey Gannon; and her great nephews and nieces, Kinsley, Jackson, Brock, Blair, and Keelie.
Pallbearers will be Jason Brotherton, Coy Brotherton, Kyle Rhodes, Lee Withers, Danny Ostrander, and Chuck Meighen.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospice for their loving care in the days preceding Cindy's death.
