BOSSIER CITY, LA - A funeral service for Dade (Billy) Scott, Jr., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. T.J. Lewis, assisted by Rev. Dale Wooten. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.
Billy was born June 28, 1935 in Haughton, LA to Dade, Sr. and Bertha Scott and died March 29, 2016 in Bossier City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was an Inspector Specialist for the LA Department of Transportation. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Valerie Brownlee and numerous brothers and sisters.
Billy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Scott and daughter, Sheila Magee, both of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Joshua Meyer and wife, Vicky, Kenneth Ansley Okker, Jena Brownlee, Justin Brownlee, Richard Dillon Magee, William Marlon Magee and great grandchildren, Alexus Ehrhard, Noah Brownlee, Porter Brownlee and Gracee Perkins.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be, Henry, Steve, Clifford, Richard, Duxie, Roger, Shelby and Jessie Scott.
