Dallas Swafford

Coushatta, LA - Celebration of life and going home service for Dallas Swafford, 93, was held Monday, July 17, 2017 at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA at 10:00 AM with Reverend Bill Treadway officiating. Interment followed at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. Visitation was held Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Coushatta, LA from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Mr. Swafford was born January 15, 1924 in Castor, LA to Prior Lee and Hattie Geneva Swafford and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 13, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Preceding him in death were brothers, Isaac, Ira, Alvin, Emmett, and Dwayne; sisters, Grace, Ora, Flora, and Martha (Suzie), and common law wife, Florence Sharpley. Left to cherish his memory are sister, Dora Tapley; children, Sherry Kissenger, Nina Stevens, and Tony Swafford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were Paul Edwards, David Layfield, Damon Morgan, Leonard Tapley, Harry Morgan, and Glen McElroy. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Swafford and Johnny Sharpley.
