Danny Lynn Black

Danny Lynn Black was born on December 1,1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Hugh and Irene Black. He was the 4th child of 9 children.  Danny was a loving husband, dad, and proudest of grandfathers.

He was married to the love of his life, Debbie, for 51 years.  They had one son, Dr. Johnny Black, whom he was so proud of the man he had become.   He adored his grandchildren, Jake and Addison.  Pawpaw tried to never miss any of their countless sporting events; hot or cold, rain or shine, he was going to be there.  Danny was always there for his siblings when they needed him.  He loved to hunt and fish with his many life-long friends who were like brothers to him.

Danny passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 8, 2023 surrounded by his family, at the age of 75.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Irene Black; sister, Judy Allen; and his brother, Eddy Black.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Debbie;  son,  Dr. Johnny Black and wife Megan; grandchildren,  Jake and Addison; siblings, Larry Black (Wandza), Hughlene Rice, Susan Black, Shirley Matthews,  Jan Henderson, and Glenda Quint (Bernie), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.  Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and  believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
