Converse, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Danny Ray Waters, 61, will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Lakeside Baptist Church in Converse, LA with Rev. Randy Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Converse Cemetery, Converse, LA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 18, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM.

Danny was born in Shreveport, LA to Jessie and Leona Spear Waters and passed away in Converse, LA. Danny proudly serviced his country in the US ARMY.

Preceding Danny in death were his father Jessie Golden Waters; brothers Jerry Waters, Jim Waters and Jay Waters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Peggy Waters; mother Leona A Bates; sons Jason Waters and wife Tammy and John Cooper and girl friend Dakota; daughter Leesa Cooper; sister Judy A Tisdell and husband Wayne; brothers David E. Waters and wife Rhonda and Steve A. Waters; grandchildren Peyton Waters, Halie Waters, Leah Waters, Jasmine Cooper, Justina Cooper, Johnna Cooper, and Anthony Cooper; and great grandchildren Samantha Stiles and Kaleb Stiles.
