A private graveside service for David Dumas, 73, will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Andrew Brewster.
David was born on February 6, 1950 in Oak Grove, Louisiana to Tim “O.T.” and Ruth Dumas and passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
After graduating in 1968-69 from West Monroe High School, he learned to weld and do mechanical work. He moved to Texas and met his wife in 1971. They married on February 18, 1972. He retired as Supervisor of Well Pump Compressors after more than 20 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three half-siblings and grandson, Weston Michael Tinsley and numerous others. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Connie Dumas; daughters, Dori Tinsley and husband, Bill and Brandy Dumas and husband, Daniel; son-in-law, Richard Purdy; grandchildren, Derrick Tinsley and wife, Miranda, Bethany Solomon and husband, Christian, Nicholas Tinsley and wife, Jewel, Ayla Purdy and Taryn Tinsley and great-grandchildren, Kyson “K.W.” and Malia Solomon.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
