David Loy Eldridge

David Loy Eldridge passed from this life Sunday, July 26, 2015. David was born to Loy and Kathryn Eldridge on November 20, 1955 in Belcher, Louisiana. David worked in the oil field on drilling rigs and off-shore in Louisiana, Texas, and Wyoming. David loved to travel, loved animals, but his greatest joy was his family. He enjoyed the handy work of God and was fortunate to travel from coast to coast. He was a man of character and strength. David was preceded in death by his fathers Edgar Loy Eldridge and Robert (Bob) Hunter, grandparents Longino Frasier, George and Jodie Vaughn, Felix Eldridge, Bertie Gray, Lillian Brown Hunter and Virgil Hunter, brother Chris Hunter, sister Dorothy Lynn Eldridge, and step-daughter Sonya Williamson. He is survived by the loves of his life, his wife Jeanette Eldridge, daughter Dana Elshout, grandchildren Sydney and Karlee Elshout, Dee Dee Tucker, and Chris Dickerson and great-grandchildren Drake and Jase Tucker, his mother Kathryn Hunter, sisters Cindy Eldridge, Terri Eldridge, Lynn Jones, and brother Todd Hunter, nieces and nephews Jodi Hallick, Jason Triplett, Phillip Foster, Tyler Hunter, Corey Hunter, Caleigh Hunter, Curtis Jones and Aidan Hunter. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Rose-Nerath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at First United Pentecostal Church in Minden with Rev. Jeff Ramsey and Rev. Deborah Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden.
