HOMER, LA: A memorial service was held for David "Luke" Jones, 20, at First Presbyterian Church of Homer, LA, on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Jason Leonard, officiating. Luke was born January 26, 1999, in Minden, LA, to Tracy Jones and David Edmonds. He entered into rest on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in Homer, LA. Luke loved classic cars and listening to music. He loved hunting and fishing. Luke was generous at times even when he could not afford to be. He really loved to make people laugh. Luke would always look at you with a glint in his eye and smile at you as if he knew something you didn't. Sometimes nothing can be a real "cool hand." He was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy Jones Edmonds; and paternal grandparents, Jane and Lane Edmonds. He is survived by his father, David Edmonds; two sisters, Crystal Edmonds of Charlotte, NC, and Kayla Ponder and husband Thomas of Homer, LA; nephew, Zephyr Edmonds; maternal grandparents; Dianne and David Jones of Rayville, LA; and two uncles, John Edmonds and wife Sharlene, and Clayton Jones.
