David Longshore

David Longshore of Heath, Texas, passed away on August 14, 2024. He was born on November 8, 1946, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Charles and Betty Sue Longshore.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Longstreet Cemetery in DeSoto Parish, Louisiana. Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Christian, Michael Christian, C.A. Taylor, and Tommy Thompson.

David graduated as Valedictorian from Blytheville High School in Blytheville, Arkansas. He continued his education at Louisiana Tech University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1967. David met the love of his life, Sandi, and they shared over 15 wonderful years of marriage. He worked as a pipeline engineer for a decade before transitioning to the natural gas industry.

David was passionate about golf, fishing, and sports, with ESPN being his go-to channel. He also had a love for cars, he could hardly resist a trip to the dealership whenever a new model was released. Those who knew David will remember him as a great man with a good sense of humor, especially once he got to know you, and someone who always looked out for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Sandi Longshore, and his cherished Schnauzer, Gracie Mae. David's memory will be cherished by his sons, Jeffrey Longshore and wife Christy, and David P. Longshore; his stepsons, Bane Bonner and wife Linda, and Brannon Bonner and wife Neijean; his stepdaughter, Blakely Starr and husband Jason; and his grandchildren, Kelsey Robinson, Kami Robinson, Ashlyn Longshore, Christopher Longshore, Carley Longshore, Cailey Longshore, Logan Bonner, London Bonner, Kodi Bonner, Maika Bonner, and Keoka Bonner.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Longstreet Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 953, Logansport, Louisiana 71049.
