David Owen Parnell

David Owen Parnell was born on April 14, 1947 to Wayne and Mary McClain Parnell in Warren, Arkansas and passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Bossier City, Louisiana.

As a young man, David played on the Warren High School state-champion football team. He graduated from The University of Arkansas. David also enjoyed playing golf and snooker. After retirement, he digitized all of the family photos and played computer games in his spare time. This quiet and strong man loved his family and had a wicked, good sense of humor.

David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his spouse, Gloria Joyce Sammons Parnell; sister, Paula Lamberson and husband, Ken of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He also loved many nephews and nieces.

David Owen Parnell will be cremated under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home and will be inurned at Hill Crest Memorial Park at a later date.
