Shreveport, LA-David Burt Price, 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 10, 2017. David was surrounded by family as he peacefully passed away from complications due to a lengthy illness..
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Southern Hills Church of Christ at 9080 Southwood Dr. Shreveport, LA 71118. Memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Minister Joe Huffman. Interment will be at Forest Park West 4000 Merriweather Rd. Shreveport, LA 71109 with Military honors.
David was born in Shreveport, LA on November 18, 1958 to B. Glenn and Rita Price. David proudly served his country in the Army and Air Force. He retired from his career as a Tree Surgeon in 2000 after a devastating fall. He considered Cardis and Pat Lambert not only as employers but wonderful friends and mentors.
When telling his stories of work his most cherished was his 20 years of service with Lambert Tree Service and Landscaping. David never met a stranger and would often give the shirt off his back in the most literal sense. David had a great love of fishing and reading. When he was not spending time with his friends, family and pets (Ariel and Duchess).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evvie and Don Price; Father, B. Glenn Price; sister, Glenda Sue Price Mann; brother, Wallace Don Price " Donny"; Aunts: Bertie Lou Liberto, Doris Owens "Aunt Dot"; Uncles: Vincent J. Liberto, James Bennie Owens; niece: Monica Shaye Price; special friend, Kurt Bailey.
He is survived by his Loving wife Stacey W. Price of Shreveport, his devoted mother, Rita Price of Bossier City; sister, Debra Lobrano and life partner Davis Fuller of Bossier City; Children: JenniSue Smith (Stephen) of Blanchard, David A. Cole of Shreveport, Heather "Ashton" Cole of Springfield, Missouri, Tonya West (Jimmie) of Shreveport; Nieces, Michelle Katsaris (Steve) of Maryland, Lisa Diane Lobrano (Jason Burson) of Shreveport; Nephews: Matthew Price (Brandy) of Texas, William Glenn Jackson (Regina) of Bossier City, Brad Peccio of Keithville and many great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind several grandchildren. "Rylee-Pie" and Blakers thinks he just hung the moon.
