Dean Emerson Pinard

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dean Emerson Pinard, 69, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Burial to follow the service at Arlington Cemetery, corner of Louisiana Highway #146 and Owen Street, Homer, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Pastor Justin Haigler.

Dean was born on February 21, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Earl Felix Pinard and Mary Helen Parker Pinard and passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in Columbia, Louisiana.

Dean was a hard-working man that could do everything or anything you asked him to do. He has worked as a welder, drove trucks all over the U.S., and the last thing he did was work for the Bossier City Sheriff’s Department. He was very stubborn and if he got an idea in his head, he was going to do it. He enjoyed going to Colorado and yard sales. Dean showed people how he loved them in his own way. He was loved and adored by many and will be greatly missed.    

Dean is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, James Pinard (Sunny); grandchildren, Marissa Pinard, and Luke Pinard; siblings, Margaret Coates (Harold), Patricia Maxson (Jim), Louis Pinard (Lily), and Ralph Whitley; nieces and nephews, Joann Lustig, Jonathan Maxson, Brad Pinard, Jessica Pinard, Micah Whitley, Kami Whitley, Mikki Nance, and Amanda Wallis; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Honoring Dean as pallbearers will be William Matlock, Jessie Joy, David Reynolds, Donnie Keith, Charles Parker, Tommy Wallis, and Brian Bell.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Haven Nursing Home for the care and kindness you showed to Dean and his family. They would also like to thank all of his friends and family for all the love and support over these past few years.
