Deborah Poland Locke

Funeral services for Deborah Poland Locke, 64, will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Little Hope Cemetery, 452 Divide Rd. in Castor, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be brother-in-law, Rev. Brian Opbroek. Deborah was born on January 27, 1958 to Robert Yale Poland, Sr. and Evelyn Bates Poland in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana after a brief battle with cancer. Deborah was a resident of Shreveport. She retired after 27 years with General Motors and UAW Local 2166. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1976. Deborah was a faithful daughter and a loving sister. She was most proud of her three sons, and the greatest joy in her life were her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. Deborah is preceded in death by her father, Robert Yale Poland, Sr. Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Evelyn Poland; children, Michael Locke, Jr., Joseph Locke (Amanda), and Joshua Locke (Casey); grandchildren, Gabriel, Mason, Connor, Jayden, Kinley, Greyson, and Raelynn; siblings, Robert Poland, Jr. (Terri), Rodney Poland (Debbie), Randy Poland (Patty), KaLyndia Opbroek (Brian); special friend, Gary Jordan; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Honoring Deborah as pallbearers will be Robert Poland, Jr., Rodney Poland, Rusty Poland, Gabriel Locke, Trey Poland, and Travis Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Locke, Jayden Locke, Mason Locke, and Greyson Locke.
