Debra Wixon

Longwood, LA - Debra Clemens Wixon age 65, passed away on June 17, 2020 in Longwood, Louisiana. Mrs. Wixon was born to James and Jane Clemens on October 3, 1954 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from Northwood High School in 1972 and married the love of her life, John in 1973. She worked for Caddo Parish Schools and was an assistant manager at Watertown. She enjoyed reading, traveling, her Saints football, fishing and playing with her grandbabies. Mrs. Wixon was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John W. Wixon; children, Christy Jorgensen and husband Marc, Kelly Wixon, Katie Peters and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Abby, Molly, Shelby, John Preston, Addie Jane; brothers, Jim Clemens and wife Deadra and Ben Clemens and wife Carla; brother-in-law, Cliff Wixon and wife Cyndi; aunt, Betty Stephens and husband David; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Reverend Pat Richardson will be officiating the service. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd, Shreveport, LA. Friends may sign the guest book at Rose Neath Funeral Home Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family would like to give special acknowledgment to Caddo Fire District 1 and Caddo Parish Sheriff's office.
