DeLane was known by those who loved her as Mom, Red, Aunt DeLane, and her favorite GiGi. DeLane was genuine, kind-hearted, sweet, empathetic to others, and always saw the good in everyone.
DeLane Nell Ayers was born in Tyler, TX on Monday, November 10, 1975, to Don Tutor and Sherry Louise Fleming.
DeLane married her beloved husband, James Ayers on October 24, 1992. They built a family and a life in Bossier City. DeLane had a passion for people and found it in Chili’s Bar & Grill. She touched many lives and built many friendships through the 10-plus years she was there. DeLane was always cheering on her daughters, Kayla, Alexys, and Gabrielle, whether it was softball, soccer, cheering, or gymnastics. Her whole world changed when Levi was born as she became a GiGi. She came up with the name GiGi because “she was too young to be a grandma”. She treasured every moment she got with her grandbabies, from arts & crafts to making “super water”. Her family was her world.
DeLane loved many things. She loved to have a good time. She had the best moves; her and James use to love going out dancing and were the perfect dance partners. Gardening; she was always planting something and she could bring anything back to life. Being outside; many family vacations involved being outside with four-wheeler rides, camping, beach trips, water parks, floating the river, and the mountains. She also enjoyed traveling and cheering James on with his athletic events and participating in 5K “walks” every chance she got. She was his biggest cheerleader. She loved talking on the phone. She was always available and would talk for hours, or until her phone died, about everything under the sun.
DeLane Nell Ayers went to be with the lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the age of 47. DeLane is preceded in death by her grandfather, George W. Fleming; grandmother, Dorothy Louise Fleming; mother, Sherry Fleming Read; grandfather-in-law, Delane Ahrens; and her grandson, Branson James Butler.
She is survived by her husband, James Ayers; daughters, Kayla Ayers, Gabrielle Ayers, and Alexys Ayers Haynes; grandchildren, Levi, Vanessa, Sophia, Serena, Natalie, Austin Carter, Kashton, and Sage; sisters, Denise Burch and Deedee Taylor; father, Don Tutor; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and lifelong friends.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Haynes, James Warren, Morgan Jacob Dyson, Landon Royer, Cody Frost, and Wendall Waxham.
Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what’s to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay… Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know.
