Delores Andrews Hart

A graveside service for Delores Hart, 95, will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Park Cemetery, 601 US-80, Haughton, Louisiana. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Reverend Jim Gstohl.

Delores was born on September 16, 1928 in Beirne, Arkansas, to Silas and Nancy DeWoody Andrews, and went to be with her Lord, on Friday, July 5, 2024 at her home in Haughton, Louisiana.

Delores graduated from Gurdon High School in 1946. She worked various jobs in Gurdon including payroll clerk at the lumber yard.

She met Billy Hart at the skating rink while he was on leave from the United States Air Force. They married in 1954, at the Barksdale Air Force Base Chapel. They had two daughters, Diane and Terri Hart. Delores was a homemaker and took care of the girls while Bill was away. They were married for 38 years.

Delores lived in Bossier for 70 years and was Mammaw to all the kids. She had a special connection to students from Bossier High School, and truly bled green. She was a strong supporter of LSU and was one of Joe Burrowes’ biggest fans. She taught ceramics at the Bossier YMCA and was quite talented. She liked to read her Kindle and any book she could get her hands on.

Delores is preceded in death by Billy L. Hart, Brittney Woods, Rhonda Kleinertz, and Buddy and Rosemary Andrews. She is survived by her daughters, Diane and husband, Frankie Williams, Terri and husband, David Rose, and Brandi Beck; grandchildren, Nancy and Chris Barnstable, Haley Rose Strickland and Kevin Strickland, and Chris Kleinertz; great-grandchildren, Mason Kleinertz, and Larry Strickland, Cannon, Elladee, Kayleigh and Colton Barnstable and Alyssa Mendez; niece, Karen Andrews; nephew, Kevin Andrews; special friends, Theresa Caldwell, Tammie Nunley, and Chris Gardner.

Honoring Delores as pallbearers will be Chris Kleinertz, Mason Kleinertz, Chris Barnstable, Cannon Barnstable, and Colton Barnstable.
