Dolores Bonnette Khoury

Dolores Bonnette Khoury, age 94, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Khoury and their daughter, Nancy Celeste Khoury.

Dolores was a registered surgical nurse and spent nearly 50 years working at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital and Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. When she wasn’t working, she loved to travel, visiting places such as Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Kathleen (Robert), Becky (Tim), and Marty (Mike); six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Heartis Senior Living in Longview, Texas for being a part of her life for the last seven years. A special thank you to Steven Williams who was her puzzle companion and throughout her stay, treated her with gentleness and compassion.

A special thank you to Hospice Plus for their care and services, but especially to her nurse, LB. His dedication and friendship contributed to her well being. He had a way with her that was amazing to watch, getting her to smile when no one else could. Becky and Marty will be forever grateful.

A family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, located at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave in Shreveport.
