Converse, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Dennis Ray Cates, 54, will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Union Baptist Church in Florien, Louisiana with Reverend Larry Bryant and John Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse, LA. The family will receive friends at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM. Dennis was born in Converse, Louisiana on October 6, 1961 to Charles and Martha Magee Cates and passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 16, 2015. Preceding Dennis in death is his father, Charles Arlon Cates and step father Richard Trimble. Those left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Tonia Hubbard Cates; mother, Martha Magee Cates Trimble; daughters, Teresa Cates Blackmon and husband Casey, Sharon Cates Boothe and husband Brian; sister, Leah Trimble Bragg; brother, Charles Anthony Cates and wife Kay; grandchildren, Ella Marie Boothe, Benjamin Cole Boothe, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
