Dennis L. Daugherty

A Memorial Service for Dennis L. Daugherty, 74, will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 until service time. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mike Stowell. Dennis was born on June 22, 1947 to Irvin Daugherty and Juanita Davis in Covington, Kentucky and passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dennis was a resident of Shreveport and ran the Keatchie Water System for over 20 years. He loved being outdoors and playing golf. He enjoyed cooking, playing basketball, and gardening as well. He was all about family and loved playing with his grandchildren and being there for his children. He was married to the love of his life, Mary Daugherty, for 36 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shari Lynn Daugherty, and brother, David Daugherty. Left to cherish his memory is his wife; children, Andrea Gilbert and husband, Rick, Dennis I. Daugherty and wife, Shauna, Dee Merrill, Amanda Saxby and husband, Caleb, and Jeremy Daugherty and wife, Courtney; grandchildren, Caleb, Steven and wife, Sue (Emma), Matthew and wife, Laura, Erica, Andrew, Katie, Brianna, Connor, Ashley, Natalie, Sarah, Leah and Lane; and sister, Diane Daugherty. The family would like to express special thanks to the Caddo Parish Fire District 4 EMS for all their care and help with Dennis.
