Dennis Franklin Jiles

A Memorial Service for Dennis Franklin Jiles, 75, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Drive in Bossier City, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Dr. Gevan Spinney and Brother Bill Britt.

Dennis was born on November 30, 1946, in Minden, Louisiana to Benjamin Franklin Jiles and Margaret Chandler Jiles. He passed away on October 28, 2022, in Bossier City after a valiant fight against cancer.

Dennis was a modern Renaissance man who spent his career in computer systems programming while building his beautiful family home on weekends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and working in his yard. He also loved music, played the guitar, and sang in church choirs throughout his life.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Claude Williamson; and his son, Gregory Jiles. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Jiles; son, Keith Jiles and daughter-in-law, Shannon; daughter, Melissa Rennie and son-in-law, John; grandchildren, Steven Jiles, Lana Jiles, Caden Cox and Claire Cox; and sisters, Carolyn Smith, Diana Jones, Judy McQuiston and Tina Jiles.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be J. Michael Garcia, Mack Jones, Van McQuiston, John Norton, David Pigott and Alton Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home & Family Ministries, 7200 Desiard Street, Monroe, Louisiana 71203.
