Devance D. Rains

Mr. Devance Dallas Rains, 102 entered into rest on October 6, 2014 at the Sabine Retirement and Rehab Center, Many. Mr. Rains was born in Marthaville.   Mr. Rains was a Poultry and Cattle grower, drove a school bus, was a devoted Mason and Shriner and a leader in the Rocky Springs Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army during WWII.   He was preceded in death by his wife of 78 years, Mattie Mae Riff Rains, and is survived by a son, Steve Rains & wife Joy, daughter, Polly Windham, 3 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.   A memorial service will be held at a later day.   Kilpatrick's Rose-Neath Funeral Home Many, Louisiana
