Funeral services for Dollie Mae Chandler Harrington will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Wayne Howington officiating. Interment will follow at Brushwood Cemetery in Dubberly, Louisiana. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Dollie Mae Chandler Harrington, RN was born September 13, 1921 to Isaac C. and Elizabeth Morgan Chandler in Dubberly, Louisiana and entered into rest August 13, 2015 in Minden, Louisiana. She was a graduate of Minden High School in 1938 and her nurse's degree from Tri-State Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana. On September 17, 1952 she married James Harvey Harrington, Sr. in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dollie was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, member of Sunday School class and UMW. She loved playing the piano, gardening, raising orchids, her cats, kids, grandkids, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband James Harvey Harrington, Sr, four sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children Jemi Harrington Adcock and husband Allen of Benton, and James H. Harrington, Jr. of Minden, grandchildren Allison Barton, Amanda Chico (James), Brian Adcock, great-grandchildren Katelyn Barton, Madelynne and Jackson Chico, Sage Adcock, and numerous feline friends. Pallbearers will be Mike Toland, Joe Toland, Wally Watts, John Mark Parnell, Scott DeLoach, and Bennie Sanders. Memorials may be made to Lakeview United Methodist Church, 303 Lakeshore Drive, Minden, Louisiana 71055.
