Funeral services for Dolly Ruth Hagans, 67, will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Gateway Church, 8925 Youree Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at 2:00 at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Rd., Keithville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Hill.
Dolly was born on June 11, 1954 to Laymon Roy Weathermon and Beatrice Melindy Forehand Weathermon in Panama City, Florida and passed away peacefully at home with her family surrounding her on Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana of cancer.
Dolly's pride and joy was her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren and her Lord and Savior meant everything to Dolly. She loved Jesus and loved witnessing to everyone. She worked over 30+ years at Chevyland as the Finance Director. She loved people and her job. She worked up until a few weeks ago.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Iris Weathermon White; and nephew, Patrick White. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, William Ernie Hagans; children, Cory Hagans and wife, Jessica, Carl Hagans and wife, Kim, Casey Hagans Kennedy and fiancé, Brandon; grandchildren, William, Noah, Tara, Elizabeth, Emerson, Alanna, Cameron, Olivia, Asher, Nathan, Bailey, Lauryn, Meg, Brian, Alysha and Nola; siblings, Cheryl McNeil and husband, Bruce, Omar White, L.R. and wife, Susan, Harvey Weathermon and wife, Faye, Lamar Weathermon and wife, Becky, and Doug Weathermon and wife, Darlene.
Honoring Dolly as pallbearers will be Cory Hagans, Carl Hagans, Brandon Bardon, Cap Haney, Brad King and Paul Weaver.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Veluvolu at the Willis-Knighton Cancer Center and Willis-Knighton North for all the wonderful care given to Dolly during her illness. Special thanks goes out to Mr. Ed for all his help he provided Ernie in helping with Dolly and to Sarah Susilovich of St. Joseph Hospice for all your care and support. All of you were heaven sent.
