Doloris Louise Price

Funeral services for Doloris Louise Mars Price, 80, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Pastor Rob Miskowski officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the funeral home. Doloris was born January 14, 1938 in Shreveport, LA and went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2018. She was a flower enthusiast. She made fast friends with complete strangers and was a light to all who knew her. Doloris was a loving, graceful, feisty wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Doloris was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Barlow; father, Ira Mars; and daughters, Luan Allen and Pamela Sparkman. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dennis C. Price; stepdad, Ollie Barlow; children, Shelia McDonald, Valeria Sutton, Delma Hindsman (Eddie), William Sparkman (Peggy), Duane Price (Sandy), Herschel Price (Stacey), and Denise Bennett (Skip); 12 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-grandchildren. Honoring Doloris as pallbearers will be James Allen, Eric Racine, Duane Price, Herschel Price, Hugh "Skip" Bennett, and Jonathan Jewell. The family would like to give a special thanks to Christus Hospice, Grace Home and all their wonderful staff, as well as Pastor and CNA Valeria and her nurse Kim Hunter.
