Don Wayne Berry, Sr.

STONEWALL, LA - A celebration of life for Don Wayne Berry, Sr., 62, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Salem Baptist Church, 109 Church Rd, Stonewall, LA 71078, Brother Mike Hawkins and Brother Stan MaGee will be officiating. Interment will follow service at Stonewall Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, LA. Don was born on November 29, 1952 in Shreveport, LA to C. B. Berry and Velma Lemley Lightfoot. He passed away on September 12, 2015, after a long and strong fight of cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, C. B. Berry, brother, Charles Lynn Berry, Sr., nephew, Kevin Talley, father-in-law, Larry D. Murray, Sr., mother-in-law, Lucille Murray, brother-in-law, Larry D. Murray, Jr. and step-father, Billy Daughtery. He is survived by his mother, Velma Lemley Lightfoot, his loving wife of 43 years, Deborah Kay Murray Berry, son Don "Donny J" W. Berry, Jr, and spouse, Shree, daughter Candace Berry Lodrige and husband, William "Reggie", grandsons, Cody Carpenter, Hunter Berry, and Jacob Berry, granddaughter, Bailey Kay Lodrige, brother Bobby and his wife, Wanda Berry, sister Cynthia Carlisle and her husband, Don and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring him as pallbearers are Donny Fisher, Tommy Williamson, Bill Durr, Charlie Berry, Steve Alexander, and Don Huckabee. Honorary pallbearers will be Arthur McFadden, Eric "Happy" Tyler, Donnie Garsee, and KABBDA Members.
