Don Spann Cogswell

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Don Spann Cogswell, 55, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Shreveport Community Youth Sanctuary, 5720 Buncombe Road, Shreveport, LA. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Kenny Thomas. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Don was born on October 27, 1960 in Houston, TX and passed away on November 15, 2015. He worked at H&E Equipment Co. for 10 years prior to retiring. Don is preceded in death by his biological parents, Dorsey and Mable Spann; brothers, Howard Spann, Skipper Spann and Bubba Spann; mother-in-law, Mary Terry. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 ½ years, Teresa Terry Cogswell; parents, Harold and Joyce Cogswell; sons, Josh and Brittany Cogswell, and Blake Cogswell and wife, Canaan; grandchildren, Jaxon Gauge Cogswell and Harper Grace Cogswell; sisters, Clarice Reeve and husband, Bob and Carla Saddler; father-in-law, Thurman Terry and wife, Lou; brother-in-law, Tommy Terry and wife, Vanessa; step sister-in-law, Glenda Wilkinson; nephew, Russ Saddler; nieces, Shelly South, Jessica Morgan, and Amanda Jordan, also left behind is extended family and friends. Honoring Don as pallbearers will be Rodney Arbuckle, Bill Mason, Mark Holmes, Jay Holmes, Kim Timmons, Jody Matthews, Anthony Harvey, and Hank Spann. The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Bryn, Dr. Felicia, Dr. Sikand, Dr. Gandhi and the ICU staff at WKN.
