Don Robert Young

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Don Robert Young, 62, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Rev. Tommy Allen officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in Bradley, AR at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Don was a life-long resident of Shreveport, born on September 10, 1953 to Willie O. Young and Esma Wellborn Young and passed away on August 9, 2016. Don proudly served his country in the US Navy. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Esma, and his wife, Shannon K. Young. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, LeAnda Kelsey and Gregary Stuart, Esma Nixon and Randall Smith, Catherine Brehmer and husband, Dustin, LeCreasha Young, Tabitha Scott and husband, Thomas; step-son, Randall Brown and wife, Tracey; step-daughter, Carmen Brown; grandchildren, David, Tommy, Brayden, Daniel, Matthew, Marcus, Gregory, Janie, Chase, Kayla, Kelsey, and Kinzlee; brother, Wayne Young; sister, Nelda Attaway and husband, Mike; also his precious fur-son, Turbo Young, along with extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. Honoring Don as pallbearers will be Randall Smith, Dustin Brehmer, Ken Johnson, Thomas Scott, Chris Spence, and Randy Shinault. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Attaway, Dennis Young, Scotty Young, Scott Powell, and Gregary Stuart.
