Donald Ray Butler

Donald Ray Butler, 83, lost his battle with cancer on 05-17-2018. He was preceded in death by wife Dolly and son Larry. He was survived by a large and loving family; son, Butch (Joda, Carolyn, Pete and Sara); daughter, Vicky (Bruce and Tim); son, Larry's family (Randi and Nick); daughter, Terri (Charles, Tony and JB); son, Darrell (Freda, Crystal and Shelby) and son, Paul (Pam and Jacob). Donald's love and pride for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was unsurpassed. He was also survived by two brothers; Willard and family; Thomas and family and his entire Reynolds family. Donald was a country boy who loved to fish and garden. He worked for the Caddo Parish on Norris Ferry road for several years, where he made many lifelong friends. He missed this interaction after his retirement almost as much as the fishing and gardening. Visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA.
