We are here today to honor and celebrate Donald Scott Hooper, 53, who passed from this life in his home on February 25, 2025.
Scott was born June 19, 1971 to Donald Lenoir Hooper and Lydia Roberts Hooper at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lenoir Hooper; his paternal grandparents, Raymond L. Hooper and Rosemary Stout Hooper; and his maternal grandparents, William H. Roberts and Edith Callender Roberts; his cousin, Aaron Roberts; and his beloved uncle, Gary Ray Northington whom he affectionately named Uncle "G".
He is survived by his loving mother, Lydia Roberts Hooper; half-sister, Mary Helen Hooper Hagemeier (husband, Michael), and niece, Madeline Hagemeier.
Scott was a high school graduate of Evangel Christian Academy in 1990. After graduating, he worked for various businesses in Shreveport, Louisiana until moving to Parowan, Utah to be with extended family. While there, he worked for Brian Head Ski Resort and enjoyed the benefit of snowboarding.
In Cedar City, UT, Scott attended Southern Utah University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design with a minor in CAD/CAM Engineering Technologies and graduated on May 1, 2010.
After graduating, he obtained employment with Action COACH in Las Vegas, Nevada -- first at their office and then worked remotely from home.
So many who knew Scott loved him, and he loved his family and friends in return. Most of all, he just loved being with his family and friends for any occasion. He was delighted when loved ones would visit him in Las Vegas so he could show them the city.
Scott had one of the kindest hearts and enjoyed making people laugh with his quick wit and dry sense of humor while always having a grin on his face.
All of us will forever cherish his memory and hold him in our hearts.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 located at Shreveport Community Church - Rodney Duron Chapel with Pastor Brian Opbroek to officiate.
