Greenwood, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald Young, age 76, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City. There will be a time of visitation at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA prior to the service October 28, 2015. We will be accepting family and friends from 9-11 a.m. We will proceed from there to the cemetery. Mr. Young was born in Bossier City, LA on September 24, 1939 to Guy Young and Idonia Coker and passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Mountain View, Ark. "Donnie" was a true blue friend to all, he was the kind of person who would aggravate you to the bone, or make you laugh until you cried. He was always full of life and laughter. He was a retired business owner. Donald Young married Ora Thorp on July 10, 1959, and she passed away on March 27, 1989. With the love he still had left to share, he longed for a companion, then met a wonderful woman who was widowed. He married Loretta Sliman on May 26, 1999 in Mountain View, Ark. Together they had two wonderful families become one. Mr. Young was preceded in death by his late wife Ora Thorp Young, his parents Guy and Idonia Young, brother Ronald Young and 2 sisters Audrey Sikes and Jannett Stevenson. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Loretta Young, 3 sons Jimmy Young and wife Laweitta of Benton, LA, John Young and wife Janet of Benton, LA, Charles Young and wife Susie of Haughton, LA, 2 stepsons, Gary Sliman and wife Natalie, Brady Sliman and wife Robin, 2 stepdaughters Sadie LaPrarie and husband Gary, Shanda Freeman and husband Mark, 4 brothers Billy Young, Robert Young, Jerry Young, and James Young, 1 sister Patricia Scott, also left to cherish his memories Mr. Young is survived by his 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Honoring Mr. Young as pallbearers will be, Kevin Young, William Berry, Alex Young, Beau Young, Daniel Ryland, Travis Coker, and honorary pallbearer is Joe Cooper. "ANOTHER DAY PAWPAW, ANOTHER DAY"
