Donna Jo Brewer

Donna Jo Sickler Brewer “Mama Jo,” 86, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Donna was born on January 21, 1937 in San Bernardino, California to Guy Raymond (Jack) Sickler and Erma Irene Love Sickler.

Donna was married to the love of her life, Billy Lawrence Brewer, for 38 wonderful years. She was a high school graduate and had a 15-year career as a School Book Fair Distributor.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Lawrence Brewer; brother, Jackie Ray Burris; sisters, Beverly Jean Kirkpatrick, and Treva Joan Norris; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Swisher Brewer; nephews, Terrell Norris and William Norris. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jackie Robert Reid and wife, Deborah, Dirk William Reid and wife, Patricia, Stoney Brewer; daughter, Dawn Annea Venable and husband, Curtis; stepdaughter, Deborah Kay Kolb and husband, James; seven grandchildren, Justin Brewer, Christopher Sadler, Sherry Oats, Mhonda Ryan, Miranda Reid, Dakota Kolb, Jasmine McDonald; six great-grandchildren, Colby, Bailey, Colton, Cheyanne, Shelby and Clarissa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
