Donna Louise Dowden Dyson

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Donna L. Dowden Dyson, 66, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel with Bro. B. J. Rocky Maddox officiating. Interment will follow at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Donna was born June 29, 1950 in Laurel, Mississippi to Lora Don Dowden and Dorothy Mae Hollifield Dowden and passed away on August 1, 2016. On February 26, 1976 Donna married the love of her life, Carl L. Dyson, and together they raised 3 sons. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Rose Park Baptist Church. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Carl L. Dyson; sons, Christopher L. Dyson and wife Heather, Jason L. Dyson and wife Roxanne, and Ricky L. Dyson and wife Julie; grandchildren, Hunter Dyson, Matthew Houchin, Scarlett Dyson, Alexis Dyson, Miranda Dyson, Anthony Dyson, Alex Dyson, Zachary Ruybal, Brayden Hermes, Jesse and Cody Mashburn; brother, Donald Edward Dowden; sisters Mary Elizabeth Dowden and boyfriend Bill and Debbie Robison; nephew, Evan Dowden and wife Sarah; also a host of cousins and extended family. She will be dearly missed.
