SHREVEPORT, LA - Services Celebrating the Life of Donnie Jean Lawson, 94, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall Street, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Aaron Mussat. Following the service burial will be at Central Baptist Church Cemetery, Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Donnie was born Nov ember 25, 1923 in Walnut Ridge, MO to Pearl Mae Huckaby Haley and William Franklin Haley and passed away April 27, 2018 in Shreveport, LA. She always lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed her family and having a close relationship with her Savior. Donnie was immensely thankful to have spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones. Donnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Harell Lawson, sons, Gurnie Wayne (Dudley) Lawson, William Lee Lawson, and Larry Dale Lawson, daughter Katie Mae Lawson, and great-grandson Adam Michael Lawson. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter-in-law, Trudie Marie Lawson; grandsons, Richard Andrew Lawson and wife Tiffany, Michael Wayne Lawson and wife Mary; great-granddaughters, Lillie Ellen, Elizabeth Marie, Katlyn Tyler and Hattie Grace; and many beloved nieces, nephews and close friends. The family would like to express their thanks to Christus Hospice for their care and compassion. The family suggests memorials may be made in Donnie's name to the Williams Syndrome Association, 570 Kirts Blvd. Suite 223, Troy, MI 48084-4153 or to Christus Hospice, One Saint Mary Place, Shreveport, LA 71101.
