Donnie Elizabeth Mangum

Donnie Elizabeth Mangum, 99, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on November 27, 1924, in Shreveport, to Carl and Donnie Belle Rainer.

Donnie was a resident of Shreveport. She graduated from Byrd High School. She enjoyed cooking, sewing for her grandchildren, ceramics and gardening. You could always find her digging in the dirt planting seeds that made beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed traveling the backroads of the lower 48 states, Mexico and Canada.

Donnie is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Donnie Belle Rainer; son, James Richard Green; son-in-law, Curtis Williams; daughter-in-law, Sheila Diane Green Gisel; sister, Lucille Neil; brothers, Duey Rainer (Margie), and Olin Rainer (Corine/Odell); sister-in-law, Barbara Lee Laird and husband, Robert Carson Laird; nephews, Stephen Laird, Stephen Rainer, and Mike Neil and wife, Cathy; niece, Judy Alexander; granddaughter-in-law, Susan Greenwalt; and grandson, Brian Leonard.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Carroll Mangum plus a recent celebration of 60 years of marriage; daughters, Terry Sue Williams and Elizabeth Diane Leonard (Kenneth); granddaughters, Shanon Crump (Derek), Kelley Chambers (Micky), Laurie Miller (Joel); grandsons, Kris Green (Stacey), Jerry Lee Greenwalt; great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Crump, Kamryn Green, and Lauren Miller; great-grandsons, Richard Chambers (Leah), Josh Greenwalt (Hailey), Triston Crump, Julian Miller; great-great-granddaughters, Zoharet Chambers and Willow Rose Greenwalt; nieces, Janice Gill and Sherrie Kasper; nephew, Jeff Laird, and many other nieces and nephews.

Per her request, there will be no visitation or service. There will be a private burial at a later date.
