Donnie Roy Peters

Our beautiful, sweet Donnie Roy Peters has gone home to be with the Lord. He fought so hard while remaining strong and always keeping a smile on his face. Donnie loved the Lord, his family, his church family, and friends. 
 
Funeral services for Donnie, 65, will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, 10043 Hwy. 79, Bethany, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Dorgan State Line Cemetery in Bethany. A visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the start of service. Officiating the service will be Pastor Marvin Cooper.
  
Donnie was born on April 29, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Bobby and Gerri Peters and passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, in Shreveport.
 
Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Gerri Peters. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Donna Peters; children, Ryan Powell and wife, Rachel, Jeffrey Peters, and Emily Brian and husband, Ross; grandchildren, Carmen Powell, Colton Trouille, MacKenzie Peters, Spencer Powell, Tyler Powell, Parker Brian, Marshall Powell, Serenity Peters, Tucker Brian, Kaitlyn Peters, and Amelia Brian; great-grandchildren, Madelynn and Cullen; siblings, Twin Danny Ray, Clyde Louis, Lisa Reane, and Bonnie Rachelle; and numerous other family members and friends.
