Doris Irene Chandler

SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Doris I. Chandler, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Rev. Kendall Holley will be officiating. Doris was born August 3, 1927 in Shelby County, Texas to Thomas and Ethel Phillips. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 11, 2017. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethel Phillips; her husband of 36 years, Henry Wayne Chandler; sisters, Jimmie Ruth Selman and Frances Eddins; and brother, Thomas Phillips. She is survived by her 3 sons, Bruce Chandler and wife, Gail, Phillip Chandler and wife, Debbie, and David Chandler and wife, Mary; grandchildren, Neil, Christy, Ryan, Scott, Bailey, and Garrett; 9 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
