Doris Marie Forrest

WASKOM, TX - Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Marie Forrest, 79, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Park West Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. C.L. Bourn. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home. Doris was born on January 2, 1937 in Robeline, LA to Joseph and Joyce Constable Sandifer and passed away on March 4, 2016 from a lengthy illness. Preceding Doris in death were her parents, and son, Raymond Eric Forrest, niece, Patricia Blake and brother-in-law, Robert McVicar. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Johnny Forrest; brothers, Glen Sandifer and wife, Beverly, Johnny Sandifer and wife, Virgie, and Harrell Sandifer and wife, Joann; sister, Wanda McVicar. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff at Willis Knighton North Hospital ICU and to the staff at Cornerstone Hospital for all the care, support and compassion they gave during Doris' stay.
