Graveside services for Doris Williams Gowan will be held at Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with longtime family friend, Brother Toby Shaw officiating. Doris was born on September 6, 1927 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Homer Neal Garner Sr. and Bessie Thomas Garner. She entered into rest on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Garland O'Neal Williams; brother, Homer N. Garner Jr.; sister, Lucille Garner Hughes. She is survived by her children, Wayne Williams and wife Becky of Mansfield, Louisiana, Debbie Porter and husband Alvin of Kingwood, Texas, Linda Presson and Angela Keene of Shreveport, Louisiana; along with 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
