Mansfield, LA - Funeral services honoring the life of Doris B. Huey, 87, of Mansfield, LA will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, LA. Officiating the services will be Rev. Ron Brown and Rev. Bob Latham. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM.

Doris was born in Haslam, TX to Marvin and Vivian Blackshear. She was preceded in death by her husband L.U Huey, Sr.; son Marvin Leonard Huey; daughter Doris "Sissy" Huey Kelly; parents Marvin and Vivian Blackshear; grandsons Benjamin Clayton Kelly, Jacob Hornsby, Jason Alan Huey; granddaughter Sonya Lynn Shaw; great grandchildren Madeline Elizabeth Hornsby, Rebecca Grace Huey.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are son L.U. "Bubba" Huey, III and wife Tina; daughters Patricia Huey Stephens, Wanda Huey Deas and husband Larry, and Vivian Huey Hornsby and husband David; grandchildren Shelley Beavers Elliott, Tammy Beavers, Callie Sue Stephens, Chad Dean Deas, Doris "Sissy" Hall, Marvin Lee Huey, Glenn Wayne Kelly, David C. Hornsby, Justin Huey Hornsby; great grandchildren Kelsi Guillory, Lucas Jagneaux, Tobin Jagneaux, Riley Speights, Jon-Adam and Ben Lilley, Raelyn Heyen, Trevor Heyen, Spencer and Shepard Harvill, Annie Shaw, Mattie Hall, Joseph and Hendrix Hall, Ethan Hornsby, Tyler Hornsby, Abigail Hornsby, Presley Hornsby, Hunter Huey, Mason Huey, McKenzie Huey, Kyle Deas, Micah Deas, Keaton Cason; and great-great grandchild Isabella Long.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church, 201 Monroe, Mansfield, LA 71052.
